Sleep below the stars
Florette offers a nice place on deck for every wish, whether to sun bathe, read a book, or sleep under the stars. Some surfaces are equipped with soft mattresses, and are therefore particularly popular. When we sail everyone must come together on deck to pull the ropes. Therefore the deck area is a feast for the eyes with countless ropes and old time ship features.
Life on deck
As we sail, feel the water glide by while enjoying the warm sun. Florette's sundeck invites you to unwind, whether chatting or admiring the sea. Take a siesta in a hammock or enjoy a swim. We offer kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling gear for exploration. At night, savor the starry sky from the deck. With a stable air mattress, thermal mat, and sleeping bag, you'll be comfortable. On hot days, there's a sunsail for shade. Life on deck blends relaxation and adventure in a stunning setting. By day, Florette's deck is lively, with sails set and ropes pulled under our crew's guidance, with a breeze that sweeps worries away. An old wooden lady – some people say that they can feel her heartbeat. A wooden ship has the most charming acoustics.
Our cozy saloon is a great place to browse through the small library which includes good old fashioned guide books and maps. There is also much memorabilia and old photos for you to look through to learn more about Florette's incredible history. Countless guests have spent hours together here, sharing their own stories and experiencing ship life. The sanitary facilities can take some getting used to...on a ship they are called "heads" not bathrooms, and we pump not flush!!
The total space is very generous in comparison to a modern charter sailing yacht, nevertheless, the cabins and the sanitary facilities are very small compared to the ones on land. We have eleven double cabins, five of which have an extra bunk for a child. They are equipped with a sink, small table and cupboard. Movement onboard can be assumed, due to the motion of the sea. Sometimes, especially older people, experience problems with this. If you have health impairments or disabilities, please consult with the Captain before you book.
Please note that daily itineraries depend on wind, weather, and volcanic activity. The Captain and guide create the final program, prioritizing safety while ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone. Each voyage is unique, offering spontaneity and discovery
You will also have a seaman chest for your personal belongings with a size of 80x50x45cm where you have to fit your belongings. Apart from that, you enjoy the same good company and food. This offer is only available for people aged 30 years or younger. If the ship is not fully booked you may get lucky to be upgrade to a shared cabin.
Onboard, you'll find eleven cozy double cabins, each thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable and relaxing retreat. Every cabin is equipped with running water and a 220V connection for your convenience. Many also feature a small table and cabinet, offering extra storage and a touch of functionality. Large deck hatches allow fresh air and natural daylight to stream in, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.
The cabins are traditionally furnished with either bunk beds or a double bed, both designed to ensure a restful night’s sleep. For added comfort, the beds come with soft foam mattresses, plush pillows, sheets, and warm blankets. Whether you're traveling during cooler months or warmer days, the ship’s heating and air conditioning ensure a perfectly cozy environment throughout your stay.
With these well-appointed and charming cabins, you'll feel right at home as you set off on your memorable voyage.

Cabin space
The total space is very generous for a maximum number of 27 guests. Nevertheless, the cabins and the sanitary facilities are very small compared to the ones on land. However, once you get used to the very compact design of the bathroom and toilet, you will wonder how such small a space can be used so well. Please note that there is minimal space in the cabin so avoid bringing bulky luggage like large suitcases. A soft duffel bag is ideal.
